I grew up in Vancouver and went to the University of British Columbia where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and High School Teacher certification. Subsequently I was employed at UBC by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a Research Technician during which time I completed a Masters of Pest Management degree at Simon Fraser University. I moved to Pender Island in 1995 and operated a pest management business until 2017 when I retired. I joined the Pender Islands Museum Society in 2011 and was Chair of the museum Board from 2014 until 2017. I am particularly interested in photo archiving and fostering a strong online presence for the museum. Hobbies include Spanish language learning and small greenhouse food production.
